Ms. Ali

Owner and Teacher

I have been teaching preschool for 9 years and am passionate about early childhood education. I have my bachelor's degree from the University of Utah in Early Childhood Development. I taught for Head Start for 2 years, where I was introduced to the Creative Curriculum, and then have taught in my home for the past 7 years. I love to see the spark in a child's eye when they learn something new. I also love encouraging children to think outside the box. My goal is to make learning as exciting as possible. 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with  my four kids and husband. I also love to travel, swim, lift weights and bake cakes.

I have always loved working with kids. I spent a year working alongside Ms. Ali and the past 2 years I have taught the Tuesday and Thursday class and have really enjoyed it. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from Arizona State University. I believe that it is important for children to learn social and foundational skills in a safe, encouraging environment. My goal is to make my classroom a safe place where students are excited to come and learn new things.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my 2 kids and husband.  I also love photography and baking.

I have worked as an educator for the past 9 years for grades k-12. I consider myself a lifelong learner. I am always up for trying new things and experiencing the world from various perspectives. I love working with children and find it highly rewarding. I have worn many hats in Davis School District, including teaching assistant, computer science/STEM teacher, recess duty, office aid, etc., but I am currently a substitute teacher and loving it. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marriage and Family Studies from BYU-Idaho. As a previous caseworker for the Division of Child and Family Services, I am passionate about strengthening families and about providing safe spaces for children to learn, grow, and create. My favorite part of teaching is watching children become confident leaders.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and four children, drawing, painting, reading, and working out.
